The KIWANIS CLUB OF SAN MARCOS is proud to have been a major sponsor of the
San Marcos Sheriff Station's KIDZWATCH ACADEMY since the very first academy was held in July 2000!
We KNOW this is one of the most dynamic programs we sponsor and encourage all parents to enroll
their children by contacting the San Marcos Sheriff's Station COPPS Unit (Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving)

The
KIDZWATCH ACADEMY is an exciting 7-week program for parents and their children ages 5 - 11 year
old. Each week focuses on a different and vital aspect of keeping our kids safe AND empowering our kids to be safe when
they are not with us. Parents often remark that they have learned as many new things as their children!
The KIDZWATCH Academy is ALSO a wonderful opportunity to children
and their parents to build a positive relationship with the men and women who protect our community and offers a relaxed atmosphere
in which parents and children can ask those "I always wanted to know..." questions.

Through KIDZWATCH children will learn: - How to be more observant of their surroundings, enabling them to become safer individuals
